Autumn slows down for no man...or woman!
10:08 PM Busy, busy busy-ness! Is that the theme of anyone else's October? This month we hit the ground running with my last week of work, the start of our Preparation for parenting classes, baby showers, Bible studies, football games, and a very-much-enjoyed visit from my Dad, Mom and Grandma! Oh we had some delightful times. As soon as they arrived each day was packed with activity, as vacations often are.
Dad and Mom blessed the socks off of me by helping us fix up the apartment. Dad set to work on our leaky kitchen sink and building shelves for more storage with Randy, while Mom helped me pick out paint for the baby’s room and transform it from a “catch-all/office/storage space” into a nursery! It just makes it so much more real that a baby is actually coming...I can hardly wait!
Of course we didn’t just make them work the WHOLE time, we enjoyed a beautiful day at the coast, (honestly, some of the best weather I’ve ever seen there) a lovely tea party, and my baby shower. It was so special that Mom and Grandma could be there.
Then we said our goodbyes and we have had/will have about 5 days of “normal” until we take off for our babymoon! I am so excited, I think we both really need a vacation and a time to relax, catch our breath, and reconnect before this bundle of joy arrives.:)
At my appointment the midwife said everything looks good! I just adore hearing that rapid, little heartbeat and feeling him/her kick and stretch and turn all around...the miracle of life just never gets old. I’m at 32 weeks now, which is sort of hard to believe, and yet at the same time can feel like I have a long ways to go. I’m trying not to get impatient though, and enjoy every moment! You’re only pregnant with your first once.:)
Now for some pictures.....
The ladies from Brownsville blessed me tremendously with a beautiful baby shower!

ReplyDeleteWow, your nursery sounds like it will be so cute! I was sorry to hear that you won't be moving into "our" house now, but at least you won't have to be waiting on us to hurry up and get out of it. :) I hope all goes well for you, and you won't feel too claustrophobic in your apartment. (I'm sure you won't. :) )
ReplyDeleteYour shower was so fun and I can't wait to see your nursery all put together. You will make it look so lovely with your mad decorating skills. :)

I heard via Amy that you won't be moving into their house. I'm so sorry. I hope you can make the best of it in your small apartment. I know you will!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so fun to look at. I can tell you have wonderful parents. It's no wonder though because you and Shannon are amazing women!
Have a great week!
